First of all, I would like to thank you all for the progress we have made in planning the project. We just have a few things to confirm;
1. Project Date is June 15 2013: We'll work rain or shine, with the exception of really bad weather (thunder storms). If there are thunderstorms, then the following weekend (Saturday, June 22) will be the makeup day for the project.
2. Project Funding: Final approval will be after the PTSA meeting. I will also stop by stores to try to negotiate (my priorities are the following);
Donations (money or materials). If I cannot get donations
Bargain to see if we can purchase materials at cost.
Negotiate free delivery by the stores, or arrange pickup (by parents with trucks).
3. School contacts: I will need point persons for;
Buildings and grounds: So, we can try to deliver and store materials in advance in a suitable area around the school until the project date (gravel, mulch, lumber, topsoil.. and other items).
Security: So I can keep them informed about the project, and after school hours material delivery.
4. Retaining Wall: I will proceed with 24" tall retaining wall and I will also get the mulch bed done next to the snack bar (here is an image of the area: http://tinyurl.com/dxwjw9e).
5. Purchasing: To keep things rolling, I am planning to pay for the materials, and bring the receipts to Mrs. Bruner or Mr. Mr. Patrick.
The goal is to beat the budget. I am really excited about the project, and will do my best to make sure that the final product will be both great looking, and fully functional.
I'll inform my troop that the project day is June 15 2013.
