This is probably one of my most favorite outings. This is a great place to hang out with friends and really get to know the new scouts more and make great new friendships. As an older scout, I was the ASPL (Assistant Senior Patrol Leader) of the group. Each older scout was in charge of an advancement station to help the little scouts get requirements signed off for rank advancement. I was in charge of the Ax-Yard while others were in charge of the knot-tying, fire-building, first aid and nature walking stations. We had a very large group of new scouts this year. Overall, its these little outings that really bring the joy and fun into scouting. I hope to go again next year!
