Amedee's Eagle project--June 6,2010--

Amedee's Eagle project was at Churchill Elementary school. Many scouts from the troop came to help. We had about 20 scouts come.

We cleared a large area of weeds, and planted about four dozen Virginia native shrubs and flowers. In addition, we refinished benches at the school yard. There was food too. They provided breakfast and lunch. Some people brought their friends to help as well. We also brought gardening gloves, rakes, hoes, shovels, and trowels. We spread mulch after we planted and weeded the area.

We worked beween 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. That is 4 hours of community service. Some people came early but then left early too.

Amedee's Eagle project turned out well. We all worked hard (it was a bit humid).
